Investment Terms

Investments are made as reimbursable grants, as unsecured loans or in return for equity, the funding package being offered being dependent on the nature of the proposal. Genomia takes no ownership in the technology or intellectual property being developed. Standard investment documentation is used, to keep down transaction costs. However, all successful applicants who accept investment offers will be charged arrangement and project monitoring fees, which may be added to the investment being sought.

Post-Investment Support

In part to protect its interests, but also to supplement the technical skills of project proposers, where a start-up or spin-out company is chosen as the route to commercial exploitation, Genomia will also provide a package of business support. The most direct component of this is business mentoring by a suitably qualified consultant. However, Genomia will also attend to the practical issues associated with corporate governance to free up the time of scientists and technicians to play to their strengths.
